filmracing

It's that time of year again, film racing season. Last year we had 12 hours to make a movie, this year it stretches to 24. You can bet another behind the scenes opus is in the offing. In the meantime, check out what happened when someone tried to catch a lucky break:

The Making of Lucky Break

On Saturday, April 7th at 12 noon a uniquely creative team of Center Media producers gathered at an apartment on West 90th Street. The mission: create a four-minute movie in 12 hours with a specified theme and a surprise element and hand it in before midnight. We were filmracing and it was a blast. At 12pm Chris texted the theme for this year's contest: a 'fortune' and our surprise element was an 'egg.' Over the course of those 12 hours our magnum opus took shape and our 'Lucky Break' was born. 'Lucky Break' was created in 12 hours as part of the NYC filmracing contest. It turned out so well we are shopping it to film festivals. If you know of one that will screen it let us know.
