art

The weekend of the Armory Art show brought more than five other art fairs to Manhattan - we were chock full of art in this city. Erik and I started our art weekend in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (NYC's premiere hipster haven). There we stopped by several galleries including a few you will see here: Black & White, Jack the Pelican, Pierogi and Supreme Trading among others. For some odd reason we started our trek to Billyburg in DUMBO, makes no sense, but it happened. Even though we stayed up way too late on Saturday night, we were up bright and early to beat the crowds at the Armory Show at the Pier 94. Highlight of the Armory show had to be the two Bill Viola video installations we saw - simply mesmerizing. Be warned: this ain't no Disney art, it's 'edgy' and once in a while naughty. All I have to say is 'Magic Fingers!!!!'

I am not a big fan of art shows. But I thought there were some interesting possibilities with the camera phone installation, and the mirroed mosaic thing.

What part of Britney was on display a the pier again? I couldn't see it from your footage.

i'm about to watch it again. i loved it. missed the shows so great to see it through your eyes. thanks for sharing. and AGAIN, you are amazing w/ that small camera. you hold the camera in a way filming yourself that disguises the fact that you have your arm extended w camera in hand.

Great art show - reminds me of Final Fridays here.

Question: what band was playing? I rather liked them.
