mud bath

On the last weekend of production we went to the Black Sea coast - a popular place for Romanians in August. We stayed in Constanta and took an open doubledecker bus out to Mamaia. If you sit for very long on the beach a man comes by offering mud. How can you resist such a proven age old treatment - and how our skin thanked us for it! Music courtesy of Omagiu - a disc that Dani introduced us to.

chez pankoke

On the way to Romania I stopped by the old haunts in Darmstadt/Eberstadt. It was an intense and wonderful connection with friends I have not seen in person for too long. Wolfgang and Verena were excellent hosts. The Scheuerplflugs were in town from France, Juergen was visiting from Cuba and Make and Annette came in from Nuernberg. It was a fantastic weekend of eating, drinking (Cuban rum and cigars), walking in the meadow, a puppet theater premiere and all around catching up.

Parkour

On the eve of leaving for Europe, frantic, sleepless, what do I do? Act out with video blogging. This one goes out to the summer that I seemed to have missed. This video captures a random moment in Central Park this spring. I was talking on the phone with Rick who was finishing the show at the Center when I happened to see these two guys undertaking what looked to be parkour. The ambient audio goes in and out because I was having an unrelated phone conversation while I shot this.
